litellm is vulnerable to Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI)
98
Critical Risk
The LiteLLM proxy's /prompts/test endpoint passes a caller supplied dotprompt_content parameter through an unsandboxed jinja2.Environment instead of keeping it as static text. An unauthenticated remote caller can craft dotprompt_content using Jinja2 template syntax to reach Python internals and run arbitrary operating system commands on the proxy host. The fix removes the unsandboxed Jinja2 path from the endpoint.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range.
litellm is vulnerable to Server-Side Template Injection (SSTI) in versions 0.0.1 - 1.83.6.
