libthrift is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)
82
High Risk
NetworkThread calls tryRunNextPhase and handleIO with no handler around them, so an uncaught throwable during SASL negotiation or I/O kills that worker. The server keeps running without the thread and does not replace it, and repeating this drops more workers until capacity is gone. The fix catches those failures so one connection cannot retire a worker thread.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you run a TSaslNonblockingServer exposed to clients that can send malformed SASL or protocol input.
libthrift is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 0.14.0 - 0.24.0.
