hickory-server is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)
50
Medium Risk
When serving DNS over HTTP with HTTP/2 or HTTP/3, the server buffers the entire request body in memory without enforcing a size limit. A remote client can send large request bodies to consume server memory. This enables a resource-exhaustion denial-of-service condition. The fix imposes a maximum request body size.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you run a server with DNS-over-HTTPS (HTTP/2 or HTTP/3) enabled
hickory-server is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 0.24.0 - 0.26.1.
