libcurl is vulnerable to Use After Free
37
Low Risk
Calling curl_easy_pause() from the CURLMOPT_SOCKETFUNCTION callback frees a connection structure and then writes a flag through that freed pointer. The write uses memory that has already been released, which can crash the process. The fix updates the flag only while the structure is still alive.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you call curl_easy_pause() from the multi socket callback.
libcurl is vulnerable to Use After Free in versions 8.13.0 - 8.20.0.
Upgrade the libcurl and/or the curl.curl library to the patch version.
