DotNetNuke.Core is vulnerable to Missing Authorization
43
Medium Risk
The Journal module does not verify that a user is authorized to view a journal entry before allowing a like interaction. A low-privileged authenticated user can like private journal posts they are not permitted to access. Post contents are not exposed and cannot be modified, but the interaction becomes visible on private entries and can be leveraged for social engineering. The fix enforces access authorization before recording journal likes.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you use the Journal module with private posts.
DotNetNuke.Core is vulnerable to Missing Authorization in versions 0.0.1 - 10.3.2.
