TL;DR

The createProductOption service resolves the parent ProductOptionGroup by a caller-supplied id without scoping the lookup to the active channel. A channel-scoped administrator can pass a group id belonging to another channel and write product options into a channel they are not authorized to manage. The fix scopes the parent group lookup to the active channel before the option is created.

Who does this affect?

You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you operate multiple channels with channel-scoped administrators.
