TL;DR

The REST API serialization of JSON and Python output does not escape map keys. An attacker who controls map property names can inject arbitrary fields into API responses and alter the structure clients consume. The fix escapes map keys during JSON and Python serialization.

Who does this affect?

You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and attackers can control map property names exposed through Jenkins REST API responses.
