mcp-client-security is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)
58
Medium Risk
The MCP client security module performs OAuth authorization-server discovery against issuer URLs without validating that the target endpoint is safe. When Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD) support is enabled, an untrusted issuer URL causes the client to send discovery requests to arbitrary internal or external endpoints. This lets a request be forged against internal network resources that the client can reach. The fix validates the authorization-server issuer URL before performing discovery.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you have Client ID Metadata Document (CIMD) support explicitly enabled.
mcp-client-security is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) in versions 0.0.1 - 0.1.13.
