devalue is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)
37
Low Risk
uneval emits Array(length) for a sparse array, and running that expression allocates memory proportional to the declared length. A compact value can therefore force a large allocation in the runtime that evaluates the generated code, which is separate from how parse constructs sparse arrays. In the usual case of sending uneval output to a browser, the tab can run out of memory. The fix emits an allocator that switches the array to dictionary-elements mode before setting length.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you evaluate uneval output for a very large sparse array.
devalue is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 1.0.0 - 5.9.2.
