devalue is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)
53
Medium Risk
uneval does synchronous work proportional to a sparse array's declared length, because traversal and shared-array population visit every hole. Passing a sparse array with a very large length to uneval can block the event loop. Building that sparse array from untrusted input is difficult, so practical exploitation is limited. The fix walks only own enumerable indices and no longer scans holes.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and your application passes sparse arrays to uneval.
devalue is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 0.0.1 - 5.9.2.
