DotNetNuke.Core is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF)
43
Medium Risk
The Journal module's link preview feature fetches user-supplied URLs without sufficient validation. An authenticated user can supply a URL that causes the server to issue arbitrary outbound requests, including to internal network resources. Depending on the deployment this can probe or reach services that are not publicly accessible. The fix validates URLs before the server retrieves link preview content.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you use the Journal module.
