activemodel is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)
53
Medium Risk
ActiveModel::Type::Integer casts arbitrarily long numeric strings without bounding their size before conversion, so a single oversized string parameter drives disproportionate CPU work during casting. Any attribute typed as an integer that receives untrusted input can trigger this cost on every request that sets the attribute. The fix bounds the string length accepted for integer casting so oversized values are rejected instead of processed.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range.
