hickory-proto is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS)

Medium Risk
The zone file lexer contains a bounds assertion that fires when a single token reaches 4096 bytes or longer. Parsing a zone file that contains such a long token triggers the assertion and panics the process. Systems that parse untrusted zone files can be crashed on demand. The fix removes the fixed limit and handles long tokens gracefully.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you parse untrusted zone files
hickory-proto is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 0.24.0 - 0.26.1.
