simple-git is vulnerable to OS Command Injection
81
High Risk
simple-git filters -c config overrides passed through customArgs on git.clone(), but its denylist misses include.path and the conditional includeIf.<condition>.path key. Passing -c include.path=<file> (or the includeIf variant) loads an arbitrary local file as extra Git configuration, and that file can set blocked keys such as core.sshCommand. The next git operation in the same clone then runs the command from that configuration, leading to OS command injection. The fix adds matchers for both the plain and conditional forms.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and your application flows externally influenced data into customArgs.
simple-git is vulnerable to OS Command Injection in versions 0.0.1 - 3.36.0.
