hickory-net is vulnerable to Improper Verification of Cryptographic Signature
30
Low Risk
When partitioning records for signature verification, DNSSEC validation does not account for the DNS class, so records with a class other than IN bypass verification. Forged records with class CH or HS can be included in a validated response. DS records with altered class values could also enable child-zone forgery. The fix includes the record class when partitioning and verifying.
You are affected if you are using a version that falls within the vulnerable range and you have DNSSEC validation enabled
