curl sends an automatic response to WebSocket PING frames and does not cap memory held for frames that are not yet acknowledged. A server can send a rapid series of PING frames and exhaust process memory. The fix bounds that buffering.

libcurl is vulnerable to Denial of Service (DoS) in versions 8.16.0 - 8.20.0.
How to fix this
Upgrade the libcurl and/or the curl.curl library to the patch version.
